Chili Garlic Spaghetti

Hello lovely friends! Today i’m sharing an accidental spaghetti that I made.  I was planning on creating a different pasta that I learned in Italy, but I ended up messing it up and came to this creation, lol. So here we have my Chili Garlic Spaghetti, and it’s amazing 🙂

For me, pasta is soul food. I love ALL kinds, but there’s something about simple pastas that really speak to me. When there’s a ton of ingredients infused with a red sauce, it’s delicious, but I don’t taste anything besides sauce and veggies. The pastas that have 3-5 ingredients or less are probably packed with my flavor, in my opinion! On a side note, My Fusilli with a White Cheddar Habanero Lime Sauce is another delicious spicy pasta! Click here to view recipe 🙂

This pasta literally takes 20 minutes to make, and uses 5 ingredients, minus butter and oil. If you don’t like spicy food, skip the chili’s, but do NOT skip out on the garlic! I promise you will be making this at least once a week!! As usual, please remember to tag @chocolateandcheeseplease in any stories!! Enjoy!

This pasta literally takes 20 minutes to make, and uses 5 ingredients, minus butter and oil.

INGREDIENTS

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 10 cloves garlic (grated)
  • 8 thai chili peppers (finely chopped)
  • 8 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh cracked black pepper
  • 4 tbsp stick butter
  • 2 cups reserved pasta water
  • 2 cups parmesan cheese (finely grated)

INTRUCTIONS

  1. Boil your spaghetti in water. Be sure to heavily salt the water.
  2. Meanwhile, warm up your oil on a pan on medium. Add in your black pepper and let it cook for about 30 seconds. Take off of the heat.
  3. 1 minute before pasta is ready, turn the heat back on to medium low. and add in your butter, garlic, and thai chili peppers. Let it all cook until the pasta is ready.
  4. Add 1 cup of pasta water to the pan, and mix well until a sauce starts to form.
  5. Add in your spaghetti straight from the pot, toss it with the sauce, and throw in the cheese. Add another cup or so of pasta water and mix well. Pasta water can be determined on your own. If you think it needs a little more, add some more! (If you are making a smaller portion, make sure you adjust pasta water based off of the serving size)
  6. Add salt if necessary and then take off of the stove and serve immediately!
