Wardrobe Rehab 6: Diwali Look
Megha Patel
Happy Diwali & Happy New Year to all of my Indian friends out there! I wanted to do this post yesterday because I was working from home and figured that I may have a minute or two to spare on editing some pictures and blogging. I ended up working from 7:30 am – 6:00 pm… but that wasn’t the end of “work”. I was busy making a very special recipe that will be up next week!! So anyways – I was unable to share a little about my Diwali look for the year.
But before that, I just wanted to say that I hope everyone who celebrates Diwali is having the greatest week ever! It’s actually amazing that our holiday coincides with Thanksgiving because this month is all about appreciation. The list of the things that I appreciate is way too long, but to sum it up, I’d like to say that I’m thankful and so happy that I have friends and family who love and support me. I have so many different projects that I’m passionate about, whether it deals with my blog or my career in Finance, but they are there for me through the ups and the downs. This was a great year for me in so many different ways and I couldn’t be happier!
So – on to my look this year for Diwali!! I shot these pictures last weekend, but I’ll be wearing this outfit + jewelry on Saturday when I’m celebrating with friends and family! The necklace and earring set is from The Pink Bazaar. I genuinely love the jewelry selection she has to offer. Pieces like this are definitely for a fancier look, but it’s not something that would go out of style. Also, I’m REALLY picky when it comes to earrings because when they are big like this, I usually complain after the first 30 minutes. But these are very delicate and don’t kill your earlobes. This set is part of her new collection and I’m so grateful about her brand because now I don’t need to wait to go to India for good quality Indian sets! 😊 The bracelets are classic, fun, and colorful! They would also go really well more traditional attire. And of course the ring has super cute detailing on it and most importantly, it’s adjustable!
My outfit is a very simple cotton dress that I got from a mall in India. I’m pretty sure they don’t have a website BUT I wanted to share this with you because a pop of color is still very relevant in the Fall! I love mustard and different shades of yellow, so this is a color I would wear during any event year round!
I hope this inspires you for your Diwali look this year!! Check out my girls collection on The Pink Bazaar website and get some beautiful pieces to rock this year!
