Three Cheese Nachos
Megha Patel
Is it just me or does anyone else go to Super Bowl parties just for the food? Or at least half for the food and half for the actual game? I feel like it’s just me because I don’t really watch football, but I’m sure a few of you can back me up on this 😊
Game day foods usually consist of quick and easy meals that can be served in platters and prepared in advance so you can actually enjoy time with your guests while watching the game. For me, a BIG plate of cheesy apps is where it’s at. When I think of football food, I think about what I order during all of the times that I would be dragged out to watch a game at a sports bar. The options and my cravings are unlimited, but nachos were ALWAYS on the bill because nothing beats a good salty chip, melty cheese, and some classic guacamole to top it off. Nachos, in general, are very high in my favorite foods category, but when I think of game day, I think of cheesy nachos. Correction: I think of Three Cheese Nachos.
In this recipe, Cabot Cheese shines like no other. I, personally, have been buying Cabot products for over a decade now. Ever since I actually started developing my own recipes and becoming more creative in the kitchen, Cabot has been my go-to. A lot of the recipes on my website use Cabot Cheese, such as my Cheesy Garam Masala Eggs and Naan Popper Pizza! I love how there is such a huge variety of options, and there are several that come shredded too. My all-time favorite flavor is the Hot Habanero cheese, which is spicy and tastes AMAZING with crackers (also another great snack to put out for a Superbowl party)! The best part is that you can find Cabot Cheese in mostly all of your local grocery stores.
Nachos will obviously taste great with a basic Mexican blend cheese or a cheddar cheese, but we aren’t basic over here. Have you tried Vermont Sharp Cheddar, Colby Jack, AND Pepper Jack all together in one ooey gooey nacho platter?? With the help of Cabot Cheese, I was able to use the tastiest cheeses and bring them all together for an even tastier appetizer. I made this dish pretty simple because nachos can be loaded with everything. Sometimes they are the best option for when you are trying to clean out your fridge. But there is SO much flavor from the cheese, so I didn’t want to go crazy on the toppings. We are keeping it light and simple, once again, because there’s nothing worse than washing and chopping ingredients all day when you have company.
While the nachos are baking, make a quick and easy seasoned crema with literally TWO ingredients and drizzle it all on once they are out of the oven. Lastly, put a big scoop of guacamole in the middle and you have yourselves a beautiful plate of Three Cheese Nachos! Thanks for reading and MAY YOUR TEAM WIN THIS YEAR! I hope to see you guys serving this up during the upcoming Super Bowl game!!
