Homemade Caesar Dressing
Megha Patel
When it comes to salads, I need to make sure it’s the RIGHT dressing in order for me to eat it. I’m not a huge fan of balsamic or acidic dressings, so I tend to go for the creamy ones. Caesar dressing has always been my favorite, but I wanted to recreate it at home without the anchovies! My Homemade Caesar Dressing tastes JUST like the regular kind, so you must try it out! I poured this all over my Buffalo Chicken Caesar Salad and it was delicious 🙂
Making this vegan:
I naturally use a lot of vegan products, so majority of this recipe is already vegan. Since Worcestershire sauce has anchovies in it, I use Annie’s brand, which is vegan. It tastes just like regular stuff! I have vegan mayo listed on my ingredients below, and I love the Sir Kensington’s brand. I love Parmesan cheese, so I use the regular kind, but you can always use any vegan Parmesan cheese that you prefer.
How to store this Homemade Caesar Dressing:
If you use the exact measurements below, this will be good for about 4 large salads. If you don’t need to make that many salads, I would recommend making the full quantity, but bottling up and refrigerating the rest. I’ve kept this in the fridge for about 2 weeks and it still tasted extremely fresh.
Other ways to use this dressing:
Instead of eating this as a salad dressing, you can always use this as a spread on sandwiches or a dip with some veggies! My directions call for 2 tbsp of water to make it thin, but if you are eating as a spread or a dip, do not add the water.
Hope you guys enjoy this dressing! It’s extremely easy to make and it’s perfect for those of us who do not want store bought anchovy dressing! It also eliminates all of the unnecessary ingredients that store bought dressings have, making it very clean and healthy.
